And the winners are…

The voting period for the Recognition of Excellence has officially closed and I would like to extend our congratulations to our winners!

In the category of Most Excellent Costume, we have Matt L. as Graham Math-Bartreau. For his victory in this category, we hereby announce that he will start both the Fall and Winter 2013 events with 3 magical armor.

In the category of Most Excellent Cultural Roleplay, we have Catherine M. as Damaris Ambrose of Gavell. For her victory in this category, we hereby announce that she will receive a small culturally-based care package during both the Fall and Winter 2013 events.

In the category of Most Excellent General Roleplay, we have Ian S. as Olin Umbernathi. For his victory in this category, we hereby announce that he will start both the Fall and Winter 2013 events with 1 Spell shield.

And finally, in the category of Most Badass Moment, we have Derek H. as Luca Lowerbrook. For his victory in this category, we hereby announce that he will gain the use of 1 additional Parry (non-refreshable and not applicable to the Flurry skill) during both the Fall and Winter 2013 events, since it was the Parry skill that he used to such great effect during his battle with the undead.

Congratulations once again to the winners as well as to the nominees. The voting was quite close in many of the different categories and we hope that everyone will continue to abide by the high standards of costuming and roleplay that we have thus far been privileged to see at our game.

So commences the Recognition of Excellence!

Hello all! Since we have technically reached the end of our first season, we’d like to institute a bi-annual tradition known henceforth and forevermore as the Recognition of Excellence (TM). The tradition follows thusly–At the end of a season, the staff will nominate a list of players who stood out in three different categories: Most Excellent Costume, Most Excellent Cultural Portrayal, and Most Excellent General Roleplay. All players will be invited to submit their votes for one of the nominees in each category. Each person gets one vote per category. Votes will be accepted only per email (eraschronicles@gmail.com).

Additionally we will be taking nominations for a fourth category, known as Most Badass Moment. Again, each person may nominate one person (other than themselves); all nominations should be submitted to our email. The Most Badass Moment may be drawn from any of the events which took place that season–so, for this season, the Feast as well as Summer 2013.

Nominations for the fourth category will be due in by next Friday, June 21 at 11:59pm, after which point all four lists of nominees will be published to the group and general voting will begin. May the odds be ever in your favor…
