Professions

Professions are intended to provide in-game information, missions, prestige, and/or a chance to earn money.  They are categorized as “common,” “artisan,” or “conditional.”  Although most people are content to pursue a single profession—or no profession at all—it is possible to have several professions.  For example, a foot soldier might choose to become a tavern guard in order to further aid the local people.

Conditional professions require you to have given skill(s), or to be hired to the profession in-game, before you may unlock and/or purchase them.

Appointed professions do not count towards your profession cap (2), usually do not have progression, and are earned in game.

Professions cost two (2) unlock points, and then two (2) CP once they have been unlocked, regardless of their categorizations.

The complete list of professions, their descriptions, and characterizations can be read here: Appendix 4 – Professions
